Busy Busy Busy!
I see that it has been a month since my last update… I was in San Diego for about a day and a half visiting my college roommate—it was a rushed trip but I thoroughly enjoyed seeing her after 2 years! And I taught her how to knit of course! My mother came to visit, although she’s currently on a cruise in Baja California. Tim was away for nearly a week taking a course for work in San Francisco, where he got to see some of the sights, have some great food, and figure out how our digital camera works. While he was away, I felt like I was back in high school—I’d come home and find that my mom had made me dinner! I also got a promotion at work, though it’s bittersweet since the reason for that job opening is that my supervisor is leaving. She has been wonderful to work with and I’ll certainly miss her. Somehow in between the long hours I’ve been putting in at work the last few weeks, I’ve managed to continue knitting here and there. I’m working on my first hat, which I’m making for my mother-in-law, and have a couple of baby projects to make since a friend is having a baby in March and another friend just announced that she had a baby. I also made a felted basket for my supervisor where I’ll put some knitting goodies for her to take when she leaves town. I taught her how to knit a couple of months ago and she learned really fast—I think she’s ready for socks now! Speaking of knitting, I’m realizing that it’s been almost a year since Tara taught me how to knit. I should post some pictures of my projects from this past year. But for now I’m going to go and watch some TV while I continue to work on Tim’s mom’s hat. I hope it turns out OK—I had to alter the pattern a little, so I’ll just have to see if it turns out!
